Pair of early C19th Italian �Grand Tour� souvenir alabaster classical design vases.
Smart pair of lidded alabaster vases of Grecian amphora form , the creamy-white tapering ovoid bodies with subtle grey and peach-coloured striations and inclusions. Each raised on turned socles onto square block bases , the turned necks with angular flat profile handles . Fitted with removable lids and having simple carved finials .
Each vase having achieved a polished lustrous surface and �skin� to the stone. One vase with an historic chip to top of the body , one lid with a minor chip .
