C18th George III period mahogany 2-tier circular revolving ‘dumb-waiter’ table of unusual scale and proportions.
Superb quality Cuban mahogany 2-tier table or ‘dumb-waiter’ of practical scale for use as a side or lamp table . The revolving single-piece mahogany dished or tray-top tiers on a turned ‘gun-barrel’ type column stem , raised on shaped tripod supports onto pointed pad feet . The edges of the circular platforms with reeded or moulded profiles .
In excellent , untouched condition . The dense mahogany having achieved a wonderful rich colour and patina to the original ‘dry’ surface and skin . The top with some minor historic marks and stain commensurate with age , use and purpose .
