Early C19th George IV period mahogany library armchair of �horse-shoe� design.
Boldly-scaled mahogany framed library armchair with �horse-shoe� shaped back raised on reeded tapering forelegs fitted with brass cup castors and wheels. The back legs of exaggerated splayed square section fitted with heavy-quality shaped brass box castors and wheels.
The back having an elaborately carved lumbar splat featuring a stylised coronet design.
In excellent original condition with no breaks or repairs, the mahogany having achieved a rich colour and patina. Has serviceable of upholstery which would perhaps benefit from re-covering.
