Decorative collection of six early and mid C19th framed ‘tinsel’ and decoupage theatrical prints.
Colourful and decorative matched collection of ‘tinsel’ prints of actors of varying sizes ,all in their original frames .
1. Maple framed study of “Mr Kean as Richard III’” the Shakespearean character.12” x 14”.
2 . Rosewood framed study of “Mr. Saville as William Corder” . Printed in the margin ‘Hopes Portraits’ and dated May 1st 1825. 13.5” x 16”.
3. Ebonised reeded framed study of “Mr. Payne as Robin Hood” 13” x 11” .
4. Gilt framed study of “ Mr Freer as Richard the Third” . 13” x 11” .
5. Maple framed study of “Mr.Macready as Bajazet” 10” x 13”.
6. Rosewood framed study of “ Mr N.T. Hicks as Richard Ist or the Lion King “ 14 x 12” .
All in good original condition with bright colours, interesting applied materials, foils , felt and watercolour.
