                                                                            Unusual C19th William IV period rosewood drop-leaf table .
Being of very narrow proportions when folded down, the centre being a circular roll-bar action with carved paterae ends . The twin drop leaves with a gadrooned carved edge , each supported on two shaped fold-out brackets when raised. The table raised on a vase-shaped central pillar with 4 scroll feet having concealed brass castors beneath, and leaf carved detail. The centre of the base of the  pillar support with a carved anthemion motif .
Unusually large scale and proportions for this type of ‘Sutherland’ table , which could be used as dining or gaming table to seat two people.
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina to the well-figured rosewood .
