Late C19th / early C20th hexagonal brass-framed hanging hall lantern in the Georgian period style .
Heavy gauge brass-framed lantern with six bevelled glass panels , one being hinged as a door for access. The top cast with a ceiling-hanging loop and fitted with an oval-link hanging chain , the ‘cage’ top with C-scroll brackets . The centre having a brass hanging spindle fitted with 3 lamp-holders . The internal base of the lantern with a circular brass ring, the frame corners each with a decorative brass drop-finial.
The brass with an aged period style patina . No losses or damage .
A smart Georgian style brass hall lantern of restrained classic style and of practical scale and proportions.
In need of re-wiring which can be completed at cost , to client’s specifications.
