Description

Early C19th George IV period rosewood canterbury of smaller scale and proportions.
Neat rosewood canterbury or magazine rack , having three divisions to the top separated by finely turned baluster spindles.The corners having turned uprights with turned finials .The frieze fitted with a shallow full-length drawer retaining its original turned rosewood knob-pulls .
The whole raised on turned legs fitted with their original brass cup castors.
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina .
A useful magazine or newspaper tidy of practical scale and proportions. The design originally conceived to hold sheet music .
