Smart early C19th George IV period rosewood music or magazine canterbury of compact scale and proportions.
Rectangular rosewood-framed 3-division canterbury with elegant turned spindles , turned upright corners with turned finial tops . Fitted with a frieze drawer retaining the original turned knob pulls , raised on turned legs fitted with the original brass castors .
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina to the figured rosewood. Some minor marks in top commensurate with age and use , but no splits , damage or repairs.
A high quality canterbury of practical smaller scale and proportions , ideal for a magazine or newspaper tidy .
