Description

C19th Victorian period burr-walnut cigar cabinet/humidor. Superb quality cabinet with recessed gilt-brass handles , hinges and carrying handles . Beautifully figured tightly-grained burr veneers with well-designed assymetric doors fitted with full-length 'piano' hinges and lock by "Bramah, London" together with the original key . The top two smaller interior drawers are beautifully veneered all around with ebony edged tops , probably to present cigars from the cabinet to the dining table or to guests. All drawers lined in cedar and the larger two with moveable divisions. The top set with a gilt-brass oval (unengraved). The base with old green baize covering. A beautifully crafted gentleman's accessory.
