Pair of early C20th Regency-style reeded frame mahogany armchairs. A Thomas Hope style design and inspired from the drawings of Charles Heathcote-Tatham ,based upon an ancient classical Roman 'curule' armchair , reeded frames with X-frame supports and shaped swept open arms . Partially ebonised reeding and central carved boss to X frame legs.
Good deep seats and ring-turned stretcher supports beneath.
Smart pair of library or reading armchairs.
