Late C19th French gilt-brass and facetted cut-glass hanging light/lantern. Of "Versailles" design ( similar to a model in the Marble Vestibule in the Palace of Versailles) in C18th Louis XVI style , good quality patinated cast-brass hall light. shaped and tapered cut-glass body light (one very minor almost imperceptible chip) with floral swag decoration. Decorative 'coronet' top with acanthus leaf scrolls and open-work base with decorative terminal. Can be re-wired to clients specification. H 22 " x Dia.(of body) 9". France c.1880
