Early C19th French Charles X period mahogany sofa table. Elegant Empire-design twin drop-leaf sofa table fitted with single oak-lined frieze drawer with key, on cross-over X-frame end-support base with turned stretcher. Flame-veneered friezes and of free-standing design , solid mahogany top . Fitted original brass socket castors, the leaves supported on pull-out slides.
Excellent original condition , good rich colour and patina.
Compact proportioned sofa table , which would work equally as well as a writing or dressing table.
