Early C19th French Restauration-period mahogany 'table-en-chiffoniere'. Smart 2-drawer side table with veneered and polished interiors. The top drawer fitted with brass escutcheon ,lock and key , the lower drawer fitted with twin turned knob-pulls inset with 'mother'o pearl' discs. The 4 turned coloumn supports onto a platform base and plinth surround. Pedimented architectural-style up-stand back with moulded edge. .Book-matched flame veneers of the best quality and colour, the edge of top inlaid with a fine box-wood line .The top with minor shrinkage movement .
A useful side or console-type table of neat proportions.
