Description

Late C18th George III period mahogany bedside cupboard/night stand or commode . Sheraton design serpentine-outline top bedside cupboard /night-stand ,fitted with 2 door top section and pull-out commode section beneath. Cross-banded edge top , with box-wood stringing to doors and drawer front. Original brass 'axe-head' handle to cupboards with cast rococo 'swan-neck' handle to lower section. The pull-out commode fitted with original concealed brass barrel-type castors to front supports. Has achieved a pleasing mellow, faded patina, some ring marks and stains to top commensurate with age and use.
