C19th brass-bound mahogany umbrella/stick-stand of semi-circular form . Good quality mahogany flat-back ribbed-form section stand. Deep-moulded weighted base for stability, integral open shaped carrying handle to top of rear. Bound with quality brass bands which provide a striking contrast to the rich mahogany body. Fitted with a loose /removable 'jappaned' tin liner with folding carrying loops. Excellent rich colour and patina. Waxed and cleaned ready to use. Minor old knocks and bruising commensurate with age ,use and purpose.
A useful and smart piece of furniture to grace a hall-way or boot-room.
