C19th William IV period ormolu bronze lamp-base. Superb quality heavily-cast bronze lamp-base with gilded finish . Intricate cast detail in 'rocaille' or rococo style with sea-shell and 'icicle drip' grotto fantasy decoration . Excellent original gilding and patination , having achieved a wonderful 'soft' gilded surface through age.
Weighted base with original cast-iron insert.
Can be re-wired to customers specification.
