C19th mahogany-framed museum-type table-top display case/cabinet . A quality-made plush purple velvet-lined cabinet with an opening hinged back fitted with an 'axe-head ' handle pull. Suitable for displaying a collection of 'objets de virtu' or any number of varied items. Delicate moulded mahogany frame construction , which would enhance a displayed object without detracting from, or obscuring the contents. Ideal for commercial or domestic use . Polished finish all around.
