Late C19th brass-bound oak semi-circular umbrella / stick-stand of 'coopered' construction . Well-designed flat-backed umbrella stand with 3 brass bands over a slatted oak body. Weighted heavily-moulded base for stability and balance ,with pierced integral handle to the back . The interior fitted with a lift-out blacked-tin or zinc liner with hinged handles.
Excellent original condition with marks and wear to base and liner commensurate with age and use.
The timber having achieved a good patina and 'mid-oak' colour , has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
Ready to use.
Useful addition for a hall-way or boot-room.
