Description

Large mid C19th Victorian period carved walnut X-frame stool.
Useful rectangular stool of large scale proportions , standing on boldly carved X -framed ends with central turned disc patera , united by a turned central stretcher. Well carved scroll-work detail to each of the side frames .
Strong and sturdy construction , the well-carved X-frame ends of robust form .
Would work well as a coffee table , window seat , dressing stool or occasional seating .
In excellent condition , retains its apparently original cover and upholstery. Would benefit from re-covering .
No breaks , repairs or damage.
