Description

Unusual late C19th/early C20th Edwardian period satinwood cross-banded mahogany drinks, tea or jardiniere table.
Of Art Nouveau-inspired design , mahogany framed table with unusual fold-down hinged sides , each opening to reveal a baize-lined circular 'dish' . Each 'flap' fitted with an original gilt-brass knob . The top of shaped outline with a moulded edge , the sides all with a carved pierced Art Nouveau-type tulip-head design.
The shaped splay legs joined by a turned and joined undertier stretcher with central platform.
An usual model of table with a cleverly designed transformation function , for multiple of possible uses.
In good original condition with rich dark patination. Some inor marks to top .
