Description

Early C19th Regency period mahogany 'Country-House' boot and whip rack .
Good large-scale mahogany stand for a hall-way or boot-room , designed to hold riding boots , riding crops and whips . Of free-standing double-sided form . The 'slotted' central broad section constructed to house the heel of the suspended boot , whilst the pegs above are placed to hold the whips .
The turned frame with finial decoration, the flat broad base with turned compressed bun feet.
Good grade of mahogany which has achieved a rich patina and colour.
Minor historic repair to boot hanging section .
