Description

Fine quality early C19th Regency period mahogany cellarette.
Figured mahogany and cross-banded cellarette of classical sarcophagus form raised on an integral turned leg base fitted with original brass castors. The interior with old replacement crimson baize covering , with divisions to store 8 bottles of wine or spirits.
The stepped lid with a central oblong tablet with a carved bead detail surround . Cross-banded to all surfaces , fitted with 3 brass hinges to the lid , original brass lock and working steel key .
Excellent rich consistent patination throughout.
