Description

Early C19th Regency period bow-front mahogany chest of drawers of useful small proportions.
Small-scale mahogany chest of 2 short and 3 long cock-beaded drawers . The satinwood strung and cross-banded 'caddy' top with no splits , minor marks commensurate with age and use.
Fitted with old replacement brass oval plate handles and decorative key urn pattern escutcheons. The drawer bottoms retaining their original blue paper linings .
Raised on original splayed bracket feet united with a shaped apron to the front. Original backboards.
Minor shrinkage cracks to the sides.
The chest benefits from having had some repolishing and minor restoration approximately 5 years ago and has now also been waxed and cleaned in our workshops.
Rich patina with well-chosen 'flame' mahogany veneers to the drawer fronts and figured top.
