Description

Early C19th Regency period wrought-iron garden seat of small proportions with intricately designed back .
Elegant 2-seater Regency period reeded strap-work iron bench of a rare and unusual pattern . The double-panel back rest with a pleasing interlaced 'diamond' pattern and scroll-work design , the ends with shaped down-swept arms and scroll-over tops . United by stretchers beneath , lateral and horizontal. Original throughout , complete with all rivets .
Standing on six legs with elongated pad feet with no evidence of rot or invasive corrosion.
In excellent original condition with old painted flaky and crusty finish , but with no breaks, damage or repairs.
A rare surviving example in outstanding strong and sturdy condition.
