Late C19th Korean brass-bound elm cabinet or 'Tansu' of low proportions.
Practical scale decorative brass-bound Korean elm tansu cabinet with brass corners and decorative applied brass mounts .
The top frieze fitted drawers with brass drop handles , the multi-panel front fitted with cupboard doors with decorative brass hinges. The panels mounted with cut brass ornamentation featuring birds in foliage.
Raised on brass mounted feet on a sledge-type stretcher base.
Of good low height for use in a reception room or hallway.
Rich polished patina , in excellent original condition with complete metal-ware. One minor loss to panel divider on front .
