Description

Superior quality late C19th Chinese Qing Dynasty carved hardwood 'kang' table in the form of a miniature altar table .
Low scroll-ended Chinese rectangular hardwood coffee or occasional table in the style of a small scale altar table . The whole frame with carved 'bamboo' edges , the carved and pierced friezes decorated with vines and fruit .
The scrolling ends with carved open-work friezes , the whole raised on carved 'bamboo' style legs , the feet gently splayed . The legs joined with further shaped and carved open-work ovoid stretchers and joined by lateral stretcher bars . The well-figured top of rectangular panel form .
Excellent quality and grade of timber which has achieved a deep , rich colour and patination. In wonderful original condition with no damage , repairs , marks or stains.
Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops ready for the home .
