Fine early C19th Regency period mahogany open wine-cooler in the manner of Gillows .
Flame mahogany angular panel-sided open wine-cooler ,inspired by the form of an ancient classical Roman or Grecian cistern , attributed to the esteemed cabinet-making firm �Gillows of Lancaster and London� . Squared corners with moulded uprights , the edge of the top with a gently rolled profile , and fitted with the original lead-lined interior.
Raised on inverted �lobed� turned feet fitted with original concealed brass-wheeled castors stamped �Cope�s Patent� .
In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina.
