C19th Regency period cast-iron door knocker modelled as a laurel wreath ring with a lion or leopard mask centre.
Well-defined cast-iron door knocker in excellent original condition. The hinged laurel or vine-leaf wreath ring striker mounted around a central cast lion or leopard head or mask .
With original fixture to reverse and ‘concealed’ screw-holes to the front for secure fixing .
An impressive yet subtly-scaled addiction for a period door with both decorative and functional qualities.
