Early C19th Regency mahogany chest of 3 long drawers .
Compact mahogany chest of drawers of practical scale and proportions. Fitted with 3 oak-lined ‘cock-beaded’ long drawers offering copious storage . The drawers with old replacement mahogany knob-pulls , which have been fitted to the original holes . The drawers fitted with brass key escutcheons and locks , key lacking.
Raised on elegantly swept and shaped bracket feet in the manner of Gillows of Lancaster. The base frieze with a subtle inlaid boxwood line decoration, the edge of the top with a reeded edge .
In excellent original condition with a rich consistent colour and patina.
