Pair of late C19th/ early C20th French ormolu-mounted �giallo di siena� marble vases or cassolettes.
Impressive pair of Louis XVI period style figured yellow marble vases with ormolu bronze mounts . The tapering ovoid bodies with floral swag mounts and twin intertwined handles to the sides .
Raised on turned socle supports with �fleched� or feathered style ormolu mounts , onto square blocks bases with cast ormolu rings .
The fixed dome-top �lids� each mounted with an ormolu bronze flambeau finial.
In excellent original condition with no damage or repairs, Well-selected yellow marble, � marmo giallo di siena � bodies and crisply-cast ormolu bronze mounts with a subtlety aged patina.
A striking and elegant pair of ormolu-mounted marble vases of bold proportions, suitable for a mantle-piece or side cabinet , to add opulence and style to a period interior.
