Description

Late C19th mahogany ‘silver’ or tea table in the mid C18th Chippendale-period style.
Rectangular mahogany free-standing table raised on square-section tapering legs onto block feet. The friezes with decorative intricate ‘blind’ fret in the C18th ‘Chinese Chippendale’ style with a simple applied moulding below .
The rectangular one-piece top with a moulded edge, having achieved a superb rich colour and patina to the superior grade of selected figured mahogany.
An elegant and well-conceived faithful copy of a mid C18th Georgian period table in excellent condition.
