Description

Late C19th / early C20th Queen Anne period revival black lacquer decorated torchere .
Smart lacquered torchere in the early C18th Queen Anne period style . Raised on a tripod base with shaped inverted legs and scroll feet , a swollen turned vase pillar column fitted with a circular top having a turned raised rim edge .
The lacquer work decorated in the traditional style with floral sprigs , flower-heads and feathers in red and gold .
In excellent original condition with only minor wear to surface and decoration.
A smart copy of an important and rare Queen Anne period torchere , candle or flower-stand .
