Rare early C19th George IV period carved rosewood jardiniere stand.

Unusual circular-topped pedestal jardiniere stand with a solid rosewood column of almost organic form . The open top with a 'lappet' carved edge surround aperture to house a plant or jardiniere.

The top of the column modelled as a lotus flower with carved bosses around the collar.

The spreading ribbed column onto a circular foot raised upon 4 carved scroll feet.

Excellent original colour and condition with a rich patina. The top basin with a drainage hole . Some minor distortion the the underside probably caused by damp from inclusion of the potted plant .

Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Early C19th Regency period gallery-top étagère or 'whatnot'. Fine quality 3 tier étagère constructed from an imported exotic hardwood of close-grain with striking figuring , either padouk or 'Gonzalo Alves'. Excellent condition and colour with finely-turned spindle sides and galleried top tier. Turned uprights surmounted with urn finials and delicate turned feet. The quality of construction, design and use of expensive 'Gonzalo Alves' ,all point to a possible attribution to Gillows of Lancaster. A smart piece of Regency design in a rare timber, would make a great drinks table .

Elegant 4-tier mahogany etagere with a 'cock-beaded' mahogany-lined drawer to the base fitted with original turned knob handles ,finely turned and tapering uprights with entasis ,terminating with ball-finial caps and raised upon turned bulbous feet with a carved stylised Ionic capital detail .

In excellent original condition and having a fine original rich patina and colour to the superior well-chosen grade of mahogany. Some minor marks and stains to the platforms , commensurate with age and use , but crucially all without warps or splits.

Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

buffet or display etagere, with tapering fluted column supports with carved lobed 'melon' caps . Raised on turned feet with original lacquered brass socket castors with ceramic wheels. The 3 platforms with moulded front edges and shallow 3/4 gallery surrounds. Polished all around, of free-standing form.

In excellent original condition , with no splits,damage or repairs.

Good rich colour and patina , cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Early C19th French Restauration-period mahogany 'table-en-chiffoniere'. Smart 2-drawer side table with veneered and polished interiors. The top drawer fitted with brass escutcheon ,lock and key , the lower drawer fitted with twin turned knob-pulls inset with 'mother'o pearl' discs. The 4 turned coloumn supports onto a platform base and plinth surround. Pedimented architectural-style up-stand back with moulded edge. .Book-matched flame veneers of the best quality and colour, the edge of top inlaid with a fine box-wood line .The top with minor shrinkage movement .

A useful side or console-type table of neat proportions.
Cleaned and waxed, ready to use.

Over-sized mahogany bedroom rail with unusual base shelf for storing boots or foot-wear. Turned frame with finial terminals to the uprights. The ends raised on carved splayed supports.

In good original condition with a pleasing faded mellow patina . Some marks and stains to the polish commensurate with age ,use and purpose.

A useful addition to a dressing-room or bedroom to provide hanging and storage.

Smart quality etagere with well-turned uprights capped by turned urn finials , and fitted with a 'concealed' drawer to the base. The mahogany lined drawer retains its original blue paper lining to the bottom. The side returns beneath the platforms with a well moulded profile.

Raised on turned and tapering feet , fitted with original quality brass cup castors .

Well-selected figured mahogany which has a rich colour and patina , retaining its original surface and skin .

In excellent condition, has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Minor wear to original polished surfaces and very minor surface cracks commensurate with age and use .

Useful dinks /serving table, which can be easily stored when not in use.

Of practical low proportions and scale , could be used equally well as a display or end table.

In excellent condition, one minor water-mark to bottom platform . Well-chosen figured rosewood which has gained a pleasing mellow patina and colour.

Rare architecturally-inspired classical design mahogany pedestal. The cylindrical-bodied column upon a plinth base, and with a stepped circular top . The upper part of the column with a band of carved classical design squared flower or rose-head bosses with a flat ring of moulding below .

The upper portion of one side of the column having a hinged door fitted with its original turned knob handle enclosing a shelved cupboard cavity . The cupboard possibly designed to house a book or gallery glass.

In excellent original condition with no damage , repairs or losses . The figured mahogany having a rich patina and colour.

Has been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.

Fitted with a mahogany-lined and quarter dust-beaded drawer to base with turned knobs, and pierced gilt-brass gallery surround to top tier. Three platforms with 'spindle' turned sides , standing on compressed and ribbed bun feet with concealed brass castors. Great original condition and wonderful grade of timber which has mellowed and faded to rich honey colour. A truly top-quality piece of cabinet-making . Would make a stylish drinks/lamp table or magazine/book rack .

Useful 'tray-top' or galleried ,etagere fitted with two mahogany-lined drawers and slatted divisions . Totally original condition and made from well-selected highly-figured rosewood . The front with turned column uprights which are repeated to the panelled/enclosed back .Turned legs fitted with original brass cup-castors (whilst the sprocket revolves the wheels themselves are seized from wear and age ), the drawers with their original ,quality cast-brass lion-mask knob handles.

A highly-useful piece of small-scale Regency furniture with a myriad of possible functions. Would work equally well as a piece of occasional furniture in a reception or drawing room, or as a bedside table /night-stand.

Excellent condition , cleaned and waxed ready to use. Some minor marks to top commensurate with age and use .

Incorporating a C19th Chinese lacquer panel mounted upon a gilded brass simulated/'faux' bamboo base with splayed bottom legs and cross stretcher.

The top with wear and some 'crackulature' / crazing to lacquered surface commensurate with age and use.

Smart occasional table of useful proportions.
